Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Duties and Responsibilities

Work with various departments including IT support to understand airline data flow, processes and consumption
-
Assist in extraction of data from accounting mainframe systems, transformation and loading of data into big data/data warehouse platform
-
Perform data analysis to find patterns & abnormalities related to various processes
-
Work with subject matter experts on identifying areas of improvement & streamlining business processes

Assist with reconciliations of data as needed
-
Prepare Journal Entries, if placed in an accounting role
-
Propose optimization of processes and gather approval from Business stakeholders
-
Identify and evaluate potential new software tools
-
Assist as needed with special projects
-
Design and execute both manual and automated test scripts as well as document, analyze and report the results

Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
-
Currently enrolled in an accredited university as an undergraduate student with interest in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative discipline

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Experience with data querying, quantitative analysis, and data analytics, including high attention to detail

Able to work with big data/data warehouse tools and concepts

Strong work ethic, initiative, and motivation

Able to work in a diverse and fast paced environment
